Welcome to the third post in our Dalet Media Cortex blog series, where we post news and updates about Dalet Media Cortex, our Artificial Intelligence offering integrated in your media production workflows.

Speech to text technologies are brilliant. Last October we discussed how speech-to-text technology can produce excellent out-of-the-box captions as part of Dalet Media Cortex, Dalet’s AI service platform.

To complement this Dalet offering, we have now developed Speech Editor, a caption editor that allows you to easily adjust any captions. It is available on Dalet Galaxy five Windows client and Dalet WebSpace, at any step of your production workflow. It only takes a few clicks to adjust wording, fix typos or reposition captions on the screen.

Fabulous – we now have an end-to-end captioning workflow!

Edit captions easily with Dalet Speech Editor

Do you want to save time?

Speech Editor also features a transcript view that will save you hours of precious production time. If you need to browse through a long video file, say a 2-hour interview, you can simply browse through the transcript and capture interesting sequences just by browsing through the transcript.

Rough cut leveraging automatic captions

You can highlight soundbites, easily create clips and save them to your MediaBin (we’ll soon be writing another blog post on the subject of MediaBins, as they can completely transform your production workflow!). So, not only you’ve pocketed yourself free time, but you facilitate collaboration by sharing the best highlights with the rest of the editorial team.

But wait, there’s more…

If that wasn’t enough, when you index your media with Dalet Media Cortex, it will also create added-value metadata such as keywords and content classification, making it easy for you to find content in future.

Dalet Media Cortex brings you all-in-one AI: Besides advanced Speech-to-Text technology, you get the benefits of automatic indexation while getting captions, and vice versa. And thanks to productivity-driven workflows such as text-based interview editing, you truly will gain weekly time savings.

And in case you were wondering, all these SaaS, cloud-based services are accessible through Dalet WebSpace anytime, anywhere, including your home office.
